Inviting Play Spaces

 

Children’s early learning and development takes place through play and hand-on experiences. Providing an inviting, well-resourced play environment inside and outside, adults can greatly enrich the learning opportunities that play provides. Inspired by a recent trip to Reggio Emilia Dee Finn has prepared a workshop for us to explore resources and materials that intrigue, challenge and empower children in their play.

Tusla Re-Registration Workshops

 

The Tusla re registration process for Early Years Services is currently available on the Tusla portal. This is for services that have a current registration date of 2016.


For services with Early Years’ Service and School Age service (SAC):

In order to assist services in navigating the Tusla portal, two information sessions will be offered in Clare CCC office. These information sessions are suitable for the person that will be completing the process on the portal, it does not have to be the registered person.

Session 1:  Friday 8th November from 2- 4pm

Session 2: Monday 18th November from 6.30 – 8.30pm

First Aid Response (FAR) Training update

Training Companies who have expressed interest in delivering FAR training are:

This list is not exhaustive and you are free to book a course with any PHECC registered FAR training provider.

Child Protection and Welfare Training 

 

This training is the current requirement for those due to refresh their training.

This training is primarily targeted at Designated Liaison Persons (DLP’S) and Deputy DLP’s that trained in 2014/2015, this includes registered childminders.
Other staff are also welcome to attend.

Two bookings per service allowed per training event.

Always Children First – Child Safeguarding Awareness Training – Foundation for Early Years.

Dates for training – Two Options:
30th November 2019 (Saturday)  or 2nd December and 9th December 2019 (Two Monday Evenings)
You are only required to attend one day or the two evening option.

Training times and venue:
9.30am – 4.30pm (Saturday)
6.15pm – 9.30pm (Two Monday Evenings)

The venue is Clare County Childcare Committee Offices, 1 Kilrush Road, Ennis.

You can only book a place on this training if you have completed the Tusla Children First online e-learning module at the link below:

How to book a place:
Please email Miranda Cooke: miranda.cooke@clarechildcare.ie and attach a copy of the Tusla Children First online e-learning certificate.
You will receive a confirmation email when your booking has been logged onto our booking system.  You will receive your confirmation email on Wednesdays to Fridays.
