Funding has been announced for the 2025 Childminding Development Grant.
An updated version of Aistear: the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework has been prepared by the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) and has been published. You can access the framework here.
The Guidelines are for early years educators, school-age childcare practitioners and
childminders who are currently working to support the meaningful inclusion of autistic
children in early learning and care, school-age childcare and childminding settings.
Minister O’Gorman announced a total of €1.37 billion in funding under Budget 2025 for early learning and childcare. This allocation represents a 24% increase on last year’s funding or an additional €266 million.
Minister Roderic O’Gorman has announced the publication of the new regulations for childminding, which will come into effect on 30th of September 2024.
The Equal Start funding model has a suite of universal supports as well as targeted supports for the most disadvantaged groups.
