Tusla Always Children First: Child Safeguarding Awareness Training Programme for Childminders

Clare County Childcare Committee are delighted to announce the upcoming rollout of the Tusla Always Children First: Child Safeguarding Awareness Training programme for childminders. The programme is designed to support childminder’s understanding of child safeguarding in a childminding context.
Date: May 16th 2026
Time: 10:00-17:00
Venue: Clare County Childcare Committee Offices, 1 Kilrush road, Ennis. V95DRD7
This one-day training will cover and include:
· Introduction and Context + Child Centred Practice – Promoting the Welfare of Children
· Safeguarding Awareness Raising and Responding to Concerns – Protecting children from harm
IMPORTANT – All participants must complete two eLearning programmes prior to attending the Tusla Always Children First: Foundation Training. See links below to access these programmes.

There will be Tea and Coffee on arrival with a lunch provided at the break. Training will commence at 10:00am sharp on Saturday May 16th.
